was a very good movie of your local community Cruise. That main actor (who looks a bit like the late Heath Legder whatsname) was a no name actor who picked up a few awards for that part

theres a bit of homo action but thats a bit of an exaggeration lol

yea cruise i did see it, made a point of seeing it at the movies with a friend and it was very good, liked it. So fkd up, the recordings they forced the victims to make, scary! pretty depressing movie but i had read a lot about it and seen a lot of those different crime docos on it, so it was good seeing it depicted in such a realistic and grim way, exactly what i hoped it would be.

Its not something too many people are going to sit through though, not when they can see scary movie 14 or transformers 8 etc. which is a shame.

Another tale of infamy for SA, just like David Hicks, the Truro and Family Murders.
I''ll get around to seeing it soon.

I have seen a few documentaries about this. Surely this would have to be up there with the most morbid of movies.
I want to see it though, because I have heard it is good.

I had the unpleasant experience of watching this on a plane on my way back to Australia from a long holiday and I think that may have been a mistake.

I thought the movie was well made, but Snowtown has to quite possibly be the ugliest film I have ever seen. It has everything that is shit about the world: animal abuse (shooting an animal, cutting kangaroo corpses), rape, incest, child porn/paedophilia, murder, torture, bogans en masse talking about "fuken cutin off the cocks of faggots and shovin em down their throats!!" and 15 minute long convos with horrendous horrible disgusting bogans. I'm not a prude and I didn't dislike the movie, but the movie is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally ugly and forces you to enter one of the ugliest worlds I've ever been in. I wanted to get the fuck out!!! I have no idea how any actor could want to be in such a film, they effectively have to get rid of ALL their vanity!

I was heading to Australia and didn't need that movie to be my introduction! It was made worse by the 50 million children running around on the aisle and casually stopping next to my chair where I'd have to promptly pause the screen because the guy wasn't done torturing and killing his victim yet (lasted for at least 12 zillion hours, it was relentless) and I didn't want to shock the child. I actually felt like I was responsible for the movie every time I had to pause it..

I then watched another ugly Australian movie on the plane called Sleeping Beauty. I think I can conclude that many Australian movies must relish in the act of being "ugly" and forcing us to enter ugly ugly ugly grim gritty DEPRESSING "fucking get me out of here" worlds. Oh my God, words cannot describe how UGLY these movies are!

I had to undisease my eyes with some American romantic comedy!!!!! Anything to purify my forever diseased eyes! I left both movies thinking "OMFG, everyone is a psychopath and the world is disgusting!".

If this is some director's idea of entertainment then he's got rocks in his head. Although the link between these types of movies and antisocial behaviour is only tenuous, I seriously wonder what the effect will be on gullible fifteen year olds when they get to see it?

Reminded me of Animal Kingdom, except shitty story telling, little character development, the nice addition of incestual rape and whole lot more gorry shit. Little insight into the motivations of the killer besides a couple of scenes about homophobia. The acting, set design, cinematography and all that was fantastic and probably helped in this film being so screwed up.

Movies like this just make you think the director is trying to be as confronting as possible, yet with seemingly no motivation at all. One of the worst movie experiences I have ever had. Just seemed entirely pointless, yet did a good job of torturing my mind. I hate how Aussie films seem to relate rape, murder and incredible levels of violence with somehow being arthouse masterpieces.

toughen up young gays. Its based on a true story about some nasty serial killings. Were you expecting the Sound of Music or something?

My main issue was not knowing WTF was going on. Who were half the people and what were they saying?

I guess I didn't have a big understanding of who was involved prior to seeing the movie, reading the book probably would have helped.

It will be interesting to see how well it does in the UK. I'm surprised at the extent they have been promoting it. There have been posters and ads all over London for the past week or so.

THIS is actually one of the best Australian films ever made (and hands down - best crime film)

the cinamatography is masterful.

for title of best aussie crime film i guess most think of more recent ones, Wolf Creek/Animal Kingdom but i think Two hands is up there, the closing scenes with 'these days' by powderfinger playing is amazing and its a movie you can watch over and over again and not get sick of, not the sort of thing many Aussie films are renowned for

that stunner Rose Byrne was in this too with Heath and now shes also becoming a big name in the US(this yr shes been in Xmen 1st class, Bridesmaids, Insidious, Damages[tv show]). Bryan Brown is great in this too.

If you havent seen two hands i think you should chekkit out.
