never built you can be sure! Euro 2016 was the window to receive money from french state. now whithout this they cannot forecast a renovation they don't need.

Nancy is the former club of michel platini and it was his wish to make Nancy a city host for 2016...

Everyone was surprised to see Lens & nancy before toulouse and st etienne. Some politicians of both regions call it a shame or a scandal to avoid a major city like toulouse in favour of Lens.

Rumors says that the president of AS Nancy will resign soon because to disapointed and whithout forces to continue.

100% this project is dead because this renovation was first for euro 2016.

Like "Frankfurt am Main" (real german name of Frankfurt for German people because there is another city named Frankfurt in Germany. This second city is "Frankfurt am Oder", the Oder is a river, which is the frontier between Germany and Poland.

Little lesson of German:
am = an + dem ; "am" is the contraction of "an" and "dem", the "der" Datif.

Yes der is datif, that's why the second city is called "Frankfurt an der Oder" and not "Frankfurt am Oder"

Prototype of Cleveland Municipal Stadium

A stadium developer overlooks the future of Cleveland Municipal. This photo was taken in 1938. The developer seems to be content by the finished replica of this stadium and looks forward to witnessing the completion and opening of brand new stadium to host plenty of events in Cleveland,Ohio.

does anyone have any additional info on this? if you look closely it appears that the 3rd and 1st base stands pivot to move inward for football, similar to Aloha Stadium I suppose.

You're right about the movable stands design, but everything else seems to be wrong. I don't know why someone would be looking at a "proposal" for Cleveland Stadium in 1938, when Cleveland Stadium opened in 1931. I'm starting to think that is Robert Moses, looking at a mid-1950s proposal of a new stadium for the Brooklyn Dodgers. The movable seating would have been to accommodate the New York Giants NFL team.

Edit: My bad. That's Charles Luckman, the guy who designed Aloha Stadium and the current Madison Square Garden. The picture is of an early design for what became Shea Stadium, and was likely taken sometime in 1960-61, when a New York expansion team had been awarded, but the design for Shea had not been finalized.

This is what I found out about the picture;

Actually this dates from around 1968. The "developer" is architect Charles Luckman, fresh from designing the current Madison Square Garden, and this was a proposal for a replacement to the 1931 Cleveland Stadium. If you look carefully, the grandstands along the foul lines can pivot to create a football configuration, an idea he later incorporated into Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

He's the man that caused Penn Station to be destroyed in order to build that fruit cake tin of a arena....ggggrrrr
