Seriously, subburban McMansions are, in my opinion, a disgrace to architecture. And those neighbourhood looks so dead, I would never want to raise a kid in such sterile environment.
This still makes me drool every time I look at it!!

All of the photos were taken on the island of Montreal (514/438), but you find many McMansions off island (450/579) Laval, North Shore, and the South Shore in the Montreal area. The older mansions are in the downtown area.

Did I read somewhere recently that they are working to save that mansion? It is such an important part of Canada's heritage - it should be turned into a museum to democracy or something.

I read that there are some Chinese real estate developers interested this land, it would be a shame to tear this building down, its almost two hundred years old..
