Language usage in Latvian Sub-Forum
To eliminate all future arguments maybe we can come to a compromise and use only english here?
Please vote in the poll. Yes - English language only. No - Keep it this way. |

Do we really need a separate thread for this? You could ask this question in the management thread.
My answer: Yes. |

Yes, but an official poll is more accurate to see the opinion of the visitors here.

Maybe English + Latvian would be a better option, because there might be some Latvians willing to contribute, but don't have exactly perfect English.
But as for Russian or other languages for that matter, should not be allowed.

What's this fighting all about? Some time ago we all decided that English is de facto official language in Nordic & Baltic section. Why is there are need to confront with other forumers? (and this goes for both sides here
) Just calm down,guys.

As it seems some individuals (no names given) missed this one out and are "forcing" everyone else to read post in a different language, that is not native to this sub-section.
As for me I'm all in favour of english as the only language used here. |

![]() ![]() A kāpēc Zviedri tad runā ļoti aktīvi savejā valodā, ja jau te tikai Angļu? P.S. Nedusmojaties uz manis, bet ja likumi ir tad vini ir prieks visiem vienadi. |

Just to clear up on the rules about languages here on N&B. There was a decision made in 2009/2010 which we still follows.
I know, maybe not that clear, but it settles things. If its a question at all to change the rules concerning languages here it must happen in the Icebar section, as we can't make a special rule for the Latvian subsection as we're organized today, its one rule for the whole of N&B. This is a dead end discussion so i am closing the thread. If there is still people who feel like having to discuss this all over again, feel free to start a general language thread in the Icebar section.
