Might be because of the lock-out. Nothing much to look forward to.

I love this post.

Isn't it weird to turn on ESPN and hear the Marlins being discussed so much?

News of out St. Louis tonight is that the stores are seeing a run on Pujols jerseys and lighter fluid.

...also being reported is that the Cardinals owner, Billy DeWitt, Jr. is picking out his font for his racists rant letter to be fired off the moment Albert leaves town...

Rumor has it that Times New Roman is the front runner...with Arial a lonshot!

Comic sans was eliminated in a special meeting held in secret last week..!

Gotta love those folks from St. Louis and Cleveland and their great mid-western values...

Great point.
I was thinking that this is most misguided thread title in the history of them, but now that you mention it....
Of course, a basketball player is the reason why a Malaysian complany has spent $500,000,000 on land in downtown Miami. It couldn't possibly be anything else.

I am sure that if we get Jeff Fisher, it will only be because Lebron James is here...!

That works for me.

Hell, KIDNAPPING and drugging Jeff Fisher works for me.

I just want Jeff Fisher. Badly.

You may have noticed.

That's a bad comparison. Lebron has not won any international title yet so he's not even close to that level...and he only plays here in the USA while soccer players have a wider international experience.

I know what you mean, but don't put everyone in that fair-weather category. Been a Dolphins fan for 40 years and will still be one until the day I die (which may be soon if we don't start winning big again).

And by the same token, when the Heat sucks again someday---and they will---I'll still be cheering them on just as I was when Rony Seikaly was throwing clunkers at the basket.
