They never were the most ideal jobs. Miami never had many biotech and rocket science jobs too lose. It's just getting back all the low level service industry jobs it's lost.

20,800 JOB GAIN: Miami-Dade County added 20,800 jobs in the year ended June 30, the nation's eighth largest job gain by county in the period, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday. The nation recorded employment gains in 215 of the 322 largest counties in the period. The figures come from reports submitted by every employer subject to unemployment insurance.

25%
In 2007, 25% of the workforce in the South Florida area was involved in real estate, so I think that Miami has a long way to go. Although, they were fortunate enough to not have "half-built" condo high-rises like some other cities had when the bubble burst.

Are Architecture jobs returning to Miami? I just moved back and I'm unemployed and looking. It's been a while since I lived here so I don't even know where to start. Does anyone here know of anyone hiring or where would be the best place to start looking?? (thanks in advance.)
