For your kind information my dear friend Kolkata Airport present Terminal has 4000 passengers handling capacity per day. But right now Kolkata Airport is handling 15000 passengers per day which nearly 4 times more.

AAI not only operating Kolkata Airport but almost all other airport in India. Only DElhI,Mumbai,Hyderabd and BLR is not in the list.

AAI is controlling the Kolkata airspace which is ofcourse very safe and the traffic handling system is best in India.
