My main concern is the driving attitude more than anything else! The fine art of giving way to the tram at dedicated stops major intersections and junctions is a alien concept for most drivers here!Even without the system in place is already kelam kabut just imagine! If its in CBD@historical zone without traffic i say yes its the best choice for our beloved melaka.Perhaps the BRT is a option from the toll to town with a few flyovers and widening here and there should do the trick.

Been to Melbourne a few time i still hesitate to drive there! One of the reason is this:
Hook turns
A hook turn is a right turn from the left lane. If turning right at an intersection with traffic lights and a ‘Right Turn from Left Only’ hook turn sign, you must make a hook turn so as not to delay trams. To do a hook turn you must:
approach and enter the intersection from the left lane and indicate that you are turning right
move forward to the far left side of the intersection, keeping clear of the pedestrian crossings
remain stopped until the traffic lights on the road you are turning into have changed to green, then turn right.

Really wonder hows the tram going to pass by the narrow road of Stadhuys. Imagine if the tram breaks down in between of the road +_+

This Hook Turn is applicable only for Melbourne or all countries that have trams?

Considering that if everything goes well with not much of relevant objections from the public, that means the whole project will officially kick-off this April itself and will be completed by next year April.

1. So I foresee that those roads with interlocking bricks will have to be replaced and re-tarred to make way for the tram tracks??

2. Besides that, the JKR or TM like to korek lubang sini sana, this means they cannot simply gali2 already?

3. Those areas with the tram tracks must really be 100% flood-free I believe...

4. Roads with middle divider that are planted with trees/flowers/plants and where the street lights are will have to be removed?
