Northern Iraq scenery (Anbar / Diyala / salahudin / Kirkuk / Ninawa)
Start off with Hamrin mountains.
     Hamrin mountains are currently an al qaida stronghold due to their remote inaccessible location, During the 1980s Iraq had placed its first "supergun" here for testing purposes. supergun below.

lake tharthar...
  saddam's palace on the lake.  approaching the palace from the lake...  chalets for saddam's goons at the lake   it had a special railway for saddam running all the way there.  remains of the train...   fishermen on the lake  the canal regulator for the water going downstream to lake habbaniya

Al Qadisiya lake is beautiful and so is Mosul's greenery but the winner has to be the ancient sites in Hatra, i have to see them before i die!

I 'khoma6et' these from some random guy on facebook.
 The town of Rawa in western Anbar, 1980. Apparently there was a flood or something and part of it is now under water? Donno the guy had 'Madinat Rawa 8ebil al ghare8' as the caption..
