now that cote d'ivoire is back to business, why don't they start a chocolate industry and at the same time make Abidjan the capital of the world for choclate for tourist by bringing one a year the best chocolat makers in the world, the best chefs...... This need a lot of marketing and help for investers with paper works and infrastructure. I think Cote d'Ivoire is doin good in working with Morocco who's a good exemple of how we can make the most with the little we have, and use culture and industries to drive tourism.

In Ghana they have a brand called Golden Tree, I heard its been modified for the heat but dont know if its just hearsay. I dont think you will ever see chocolate being made in ghana or ic before export. The cost of refrigerating the product from factory to the ship would be highb for a start. What they should strive for is the 100% processing of cocoa into its constituents before export. I think ghana and ic already process 30% or something.
Another problem is milk, ghana has virtually no milk industry and I think it applies to ic too. Dairy is certainly on my list of future business opps.
