Well, currently the government authorities and the federation are having issues with the leased space in the existing stadium. A few small bars there are already under a lease contract. Not sure if the lease runs till the end of the year or when. So, they would need to be compensated for their losses. A bit of an obstacle for the time being.

Really? Also the last match on the old National Stadium from Bucharest was Romania - Albania in a qualifying for UEFA Euro 2008 in November 2007.
