What's the highest street number in the US? That seems to be the big thing. 5-digit house numbers seem to be pretty common, but I'm surprised to hear about a 2900th Street.

Is that a continuous extension of the Chicago street grid numbering system or just an isolated address? I know Miami's street grid run's continuously to SW 467th Street on its far SW side at the edge of the Everglades, and it extends to NW/NE 215th street on the north side for almost 700 blocks N/S direction covering over 50 miles from north to south in a single unbroken numbered grid.

*US-1 running down to the Keys technically is addressed up to theoretical SW 600th Street (addresses such as 59998 US -1) before leaving Miami-Dade and starting a new numbering system.

In a lot of rural areas, the mile roads are numbered by adding 100 to the previous road. So you might have County Road 100, County Road 200, County Road 300, etc. The half mile roads (if they exist) are usually County Road 150, County Road 250, etc. Any roads in between those might be called County Road 175, etc.

Sometimes the numbering system starts at one end of the county and stops at the other, and sometimes the numbering system starts at a central city (often the county seat) with the mile roads heading north being called 100 N, 200 N, etc. and the mile roads heading south being called 100 S, 200 S, etc. Sometimes the roads are dissected by a road with east and west sides. So you might have S 100 W Rd, N 100 W Rd, W 100 N Rd, E 100 N Rd, N 100 E Rd, S 100 E Rd, E 100 S Rd, and W 100 S Rd forming a square.

From what you are looking for, I would check the street maps of cities in Utah, especially the Salt Lake City metro area.
