the double height small 80-90 sqm duplexes (with private pools) at Ashton are great
http://www.ashtoncondo.com/main.html#building [also, if smoother access to BTS is important to you..the walk is through Soi 38 is crowded/filled with vendors and tables and stuff...you know what I mean if you have ever been drunk and totally hungry after a late nite out in Thonglor or Ekkamai ...]

Those 11X sqm. corner duplex with pools looks yummy. But are they only on the lower floors? If so, that's a shame! |

How about M Silom compared to a 2 bedroom 126m2 unit at Millennium Residence. Just went there today and the facilities are great with 3m ceilings and decent specifications.

M Silom in general, has bigger/more expensive units than Ashton. Ashton's pool duplex unit is smaller and less expensive than M Silom's 3 bedroom, and the 1/2 bedrooms at M Silom are bigger than at Ashton too.
I have heard stories of bad construction/management at Millennium Residences. |

There have been some with practically no problems in the past few years. But a whole bunch of them from projects like Millennium Residences/Watermark Chaophraya. Reading the prakard.com forums (assuming one can read Thai) is a very good indication.
Another difference is that there has been seemingly little effort to correct problems in Millennium Residences (resale prices have plummeted there, as a result). Watermark was at least fixed by MJD and other than that project, they have a pretty good track record. Last edited by rkbauer; February 16th, 2012 at 04:37 AM. |

I dont understand, so in conclusion I should stay away from Millennium Residence? I really like the project though in my opinion since theres a 3 bedroom unit on like floor 30-40 which is better than floor 19 for my M Silom unit and the price is below or around 15 million

And melrocks, I'd stay away from Millennium residences unless you want good price per square meter, in a decent location, but in a poorly built/managed and hard to resell condo. Also, I'm not sure if you're doing this already or not, but if you're buying a condo resale, don't look at the ones for sale on english sites. They're way overpriced, usually. Look at the Thai sites (prakard.com is the largest) and find someone who can translate, if necessary. |

I think The Met, is underspriced, give it a couple of years and the prices will go much higher then, no comparison to the Milenium residence- middle upper mass market product-reminds me of HK and Singapore
The Met offers great privace and great location,i only think it is too big but not crowded. You can try try some units at Empire tower on Naratiwat-sathorn as well The River for the views, with your budget u can get a great high floor unit. Q house lang suan is underpriced as well to my opinino with and upside... there is also Royal saladaeng for big units in good prices still from the developer |
