Note how close it is to the neighboring Jøtul-plot. That building may also get an extra floor, if Arcasa's suggestion go through.

OBOS is now preparing for the next step of Kværnerbyen, which will be Felt E3, the quarter south of the Alnaelv-mirror and neighboring the warehouse that is being converted. The whole case can be found here: http://web102881.pbe.oslo.kommune.no...seno=201115157

I take the train past Kværnerbyen every day and it just looks so dark and sad.

I don't think Kværnerbyen is that bad. At least it is quite urban. I would rather have more Kværnerbyes than to continuing building sprawling suburbs. The worst thing about the development is imho the lack of the connection with the rest of the city - both in terms of lacking public transport (no trams, no subway) and that there is such a long distance between the built up parts of Gamlebyen and Kværernerbyen.

Nope, the construction ground was quite messy, and it was hard to get good photo ops. The webcams and other pictures in this thread are better.

"Rekordsalg i Kværnerbyen"

"Tirsdag kveld ble det solgt 28 leiligheter i borettslaget Pelton i Kværnerbyen, 21 av dem toroms.

Dette er det beste salgsmøtet siden det aller første salgsmøtet for Kværnerbyen ble avholdt i 2006.

21 toroms, tre treroms og fire femroms med hybel ble solgt på tirsdagens salgsmøte, som var det første salgsmøtet for det nye kvartalet Pelton i Kværnerbyen. Flere salgskontrakter er allerede avtalt. 60 boliger ble lagt ut for salg til OBOS-medlemmer, og totalt vil borettslaget bestå av 135 leiligheter."
