Segundo o FMI é a Argentina. Quer dizer, é Argentina se excluirmos os pequenos países como as Bahamas, Barbados, Antigua e Barbuda e Trininad e Tobago.

Já agora, acrescento que estou a falar em termos de PPP que é o que se costuma utilizar para comparar os níveis de vida entre países.

Em termos nominais o PIB per capita do Chile é superior ao da Argentina.

Chile tem o maior IDH da América Latina com 0.805 pontos, quatro a menos do que Portugal, este mede a qualidade de vida.

45º - Argentina (0.797)
47º - Barbados (0.793)

Os Barbados encerram a lista dos países com IDH muito elevado.


IDH elevado

48º - Uruguai (0.783)
...
84º - Brasil (0.718)
...

A Tunísia (0,698) encerra a lista dos países com IDH elevado.

A cidade não sofre das mazelas preocupantes de grande parte da América Latina?

Excelente e Santiago deve ter um clima bem parecido com o nosso embora nas fotos não pareça.

Sim, tem um clima mediterrânico, com alguma influência continental devido ao relevo em volta.

Podemos ter mais IDH mas estamos longe daquela ordem e limpeza.

Realmente é uma cidade bem organizada, mas o IDH baseia-se em dados socioeconómicos a nível nacional.
