Nice shot!!

I think it will be ready by April. Scheduled completion date would be June 2012.

This Point92 building might be renamed to its owner's name.

JAKS gets RM252m construction job

PETALING JAYA: JAKS Resources Bhd has accepted a RM252mil contract for the construction of five blocks of 15-storey commercial buildings and four levels of basement carparks in Ara Damansara.

JAKS told Bursa Malaysia that its subsidiary JAKS Sdn Bhd had yesterday accepted the letter of award from KH Chew Architect, on behalf of MNH Global Assets Management Sdn Bhd.

Works are to be completed by Aug 31, 2013.

MNH Global is wholly owned by Island Circle Development (M) Sdn Bhd, a major shareholder of JAKS Island Circle Sdn Bhd, which in turn is 51%-owned by JAKS.

Wow, finally Tangs will open its doors in two short days time... Now just waiting for Isetan to commence business, which means we don't need to go to KL for these two upper-level brands anymore!

Speaking of Isetan, I wonder whether the high-end in-store outlets similar to the ones in Gardens and KLCC will be opened in the 1U store or not? If I'm not wrong, KLCC has Christian Dior and Ralph Lauren, whilst Burberry is one of them in Gardens...

Also, I noticed that Polo Ralph Lauren has also moved out of 1 Utama's Level 1 (Ground Floor), am I correct? Together with the former FCUK space, there are two vacant lots now... Wondering who will take these premises? To be honest, I'm hoping for some upmarket brand to occupy these prime Level 1 spaces, e.g. Burberry / Emporio Armani / Juicy Couture!

FCUK relocated opposite to a smaller store. The former site is vacant.

Polo Ralph Lauren notice board says to undergo renovation.

Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH) - 2012

2012 - Now to Future 2016

Dear Neighbors,

En Mohd Rizal, Sara Yasmine, Owen Chen, Sundarason, Claudia, Jayaganesh and myself met with Dato' Ismail, Ketua Pengarah of LLM, En Mahdan, Pengarah Perancangan and full team of enginners and officers from Prolintas and LLM at Wisma Lebuhraya located at KM6 Jalan Serdang - Kanjang this afternoon at 12pm.

We have presented our view/concerns/worries/opposition on the DASH highway that will impact our neighborhood/living in terms of noise and air pollution, safety and congestion etc. We also have proposed to LLM to seriously consider our request and appeal for not build the highway that passing thru our neighborhood. We have also urged LLM to look for other alternatives, such as to relocate the highway to non residential/undeveloped areas, to end the DASH highway at NKVE and to evaluate if there is a need 5 years later when the LRT is being built along the Persiaran Suria.

Regretfully, the Ketua Pengarah has strongly stated that the DASH highway will be built and the current alignment (from NKVE pass thru the STP and run along the back yard of Jln PJU7/30 and finally connected to Pencala Link via Jln PJU 8/2 and 8/1) is the less impact alignment if compared to the previous plan.

What they have promised to do is to find a way to minimise the impact in terms of noise and air pollution, ensure the safety measures. Do you think they can eventually guarantee all the promises? No matter how LLM's guarantees are, the steel/concrete structure will be there every time we open our windows, the noise and air pollution will be there 24 hrs all year long, the threat of tragedy will accompany you day and night.......

What shall we do then? Shall we just sit back and nagging, complaining, and or waiting for miracle to happen?

I can tell you it is not going to help and you will provide an golden opportunity for LLM/Prolintas to achieve their objective without any hassle.

Let's stand up and take whatever necessary actions to defend our rights. If we don't help ourselves no body else will.

I am calling a meeting for all the JMB/JMC/RA from Mutiara Damansara & Bandar Damansara Perdana to meet on this coming Sunday (11/3) at 2pm at the Conference Room, Ground Floor, Blk F at Perdana Exclusive.

Please postpone or cancel whatever appointment you have fixed earlier and come for this Sunday meeting as this is very important issue we have to face and act together. Otherwise it will affect the rest of your life, of course, if you choose to move out you may run away from it.

Ladies and gentlemen, please come forward and work together.
YB Elizabeth and Mr Chan CK are welcomed to our meeting to provide their advices as well as guidance.

Please come to the meeting on
Date : 11 March 2012
Time : 2p.m
Venue: Perdana Exclusive Condominium, Block E Conference Hall. (Same place we meet up on 3rd March 2012 with YB Elizabeth Wong)

I appreciate your concerns and I agree we should be vigilant about the DASH project but the reason I am saying that it is impossible for the DASH to go all along Jln PJU 8/1 is if you noticed the width between Perdana View and Armanee Terrace is very narrow and there is also high tension wire running tangent to Jln PJU 8/1 behind Perdana View and Armanee Terrace heading up with the hill. No amount of permitted highway elevation can go between or over these two condos which are not low rise condos I would add. Even if they attempt to align it to go all along Jln PJU 8/1 the elevated highway would definitely be encroaching into the Perdana View and Armanee Terrace internal parking bays and I believe there has to be a separation between the highway and the boundary of condos.

My take is, if the DASH project were to go ahead, it would most likely be as per the existing alignment. I've checked out Google Earth and this appears to be the most feasible route. I would like to see the finer details of the existing alignment as well as the intersections within D'sara Perdana. One thing for sure is it will be so much easier to access to NKVE.

Is the residence project located along LDP just before the Kepong Toll?

The DASH highway is simply too close to residence....this will cause the condo either to crack or damage during highway constructions.

And it's bad bad for fengshui and this is a common sense of the noise and dust pollutions.

Just build a link to CURVE's MRT station it will solve the problem well.
