But now they contain comfortable and warm houses, isn't so?

And now I see colourful facades with sport facilities and recreational grounds!

A very classical planning which reminds me of planning from the 50's or the 60's. But finally Russian planning is respecting once again some different aspect of living standards like places for recreation or short ways for schools and kindergartens. Also the disposal is not so dense like it used to be in some other new constructions you have shown us.

There is some cool apartment block currently UC in Moscow that I really like. I wish standardized commie blocks, which are currently mushrooming in Moscow region, were something like this.

Микрорайон №1 (правый на рендере) в принципе уже готов, строится детский сад (сдача - лето 2012 г.). Школу тоже обещают. Недавно в 1-м мкр сдали первую в Кирове многоуровневую парковку.
Основное строительство сейчас идёт в мкр №3.

Однако дальнейшее развитие проекта весьма затруднительно из-за отсутствия прямой связи с остальным городом. Для этого крайне необходим новый путепровод через Транссиб. Проект его готов, Путин с Медведевым обещали поддержку, но "воз и ныне там". Недавно опять пообещали, что начнут строить в 2012 г., так что посмотрим...

Great! Thanx for news. Though I can't find street view in Kazan.
But anyway there is alternative similar Russian server - yandex.maps
I hope Google Street View will make photos of many other Russian cities!
