Yes and Dragons should not have lost a game at all in true sense of nature.

Well the McIntyre system doesn't provide adequately enough for a team's efforts over the home and away season. A team that finished 5th to 8th shouldn't get a double chance in the finals if they lose the first week. Otherwise - why try and finish in the top 4?

It's common sense to go for the AFL system for the finals which has worked quite well.

Actually, rugby league used this system in the 90's. God knows why they changed to the McIntyre system though.

Neither should have Penrith. Big expectations that Cleary fixes up that minor problem in 2012!

What makes you think Steve Price will get the punt first? I do admit most Saints fans are fussy with coaches. I will give him a chance this year win or lose.

Steve Price is not going to get booted! Hes one of great young talented coaches, especially winning in NYC Dragons side for few years. Under Bennett, it was great as well especially 2010.

Tigers? Impossible for good year. Tigers will be ordinary this year. Knights will be up for it this year.

Yeah, I'm not predicting any sackings during the season - this is contingent on the Dragons having a bad season, especially after the Bennett era. It was more a stab (as with most predictions).

Only a few more sleeps now till the kickoff and looks like a sellout at Newcastle for the opener on Thursday night. Going to be a tipsters nightmare this season with what I think is the most open comp we've seen yet. I also share the sentiment of Tigers' tag as favouties, they have gained Adam Blair who will give their pack some mongel and add a dimension in attack but losing Robert Lui might hurt them but depends on how Moltzen goes as halfback and if he and Benji can stay injury free.

I've decided to start the online tipping. I'm running it through oztips.yahoo.com

If you are interested in joining in these are the details you require for registration.

Comp Name:Ozscrapers
Comp Number:280968
Comp Password:ozscrapers

This year you get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss. If you correctly tip the eight winners in a round, you earn a bonus three points.

You will also get a chance to tip origin winners and finals matches.

Tipping will close five minutes prior to the first game of the round e.g This weeks tipping closes at 7:35pm on Thursday just prior to kick off. Otherwise you are automatically allocated the away teams for that round.

Panthers v Bulldogs looks a flip of the coin job - on oztips, it appears to be one that has an almost even split.
