Btw it's pretty close to the new Baghdad Media City that's supposedly under construction. I recognised the same 'حديقة الفردوس هسه صارت بيوت مال شروك' area opposite Shaab Stadium from last time:

hahaha. yes it is an ugly looking place from outside. but not the worst design ever.

one of the problems is that the "plot" is on the old 17th Tammuz park running next to Muthanna Street. This plot is only 110m wide, but 1300m long.

Creatively speaking a similar plot is the West End City Centre in Budapest Hungary, that seems to have dealt with the issue of a long narrow mall in a much more creative way... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WestEnd_City_Center

Its being built by Jordanian contractors. I expect them to use similar cladding to the limestone prevalent in Amman, which is FAR BETTER than the rainbow aluminium/plastic rubbish adorning every town and village over Iraq like a plague.

The plot size is a respectable 140,000m2 of land. A smart investor would create a multi-storey car park adjoining the mall to increase the gross lease-able area (and increase the number of concurrent visitors). But from the renders there doesn't seem to be a plan to include a multi-storey carpark which is a horrendous oversight IMHO.

welcome back sheytan! it looks like mecca mall, its better than nothing...we have nicer mall projects in baghdad like mansoor mall and baghdad mall so im not fussed

difficult to really know which is nicer. This mall just has really bad renders on their billboard. Lets hope the final product is something better.

Do you not think that baghdad mall in mansoor if it is built exactly like its render, there will be no competition against this grand mall. The render for the mansoor mall looks amazing.
