BTW, if you have any better quality photos, please share with us.

I'm just wondering if Polish people reconstructed any of 19th or 20th Century representative streets? Is there anything similar to this street (please see below)?

I've seen many representative streets (similar to above) in Krakow.

Not possible until we give up cars. This is now part of the main street of the city center (ul. Wały Jagielońskie). Six lanes of traffic plus tram

I'd love to see streets like this in Gdansk someday...

The spire is a surprise to me. I do not think the fortress in its heyday had one.

The repairs of the fortress move slowly forward. So I believe if the spire was originally there it will be rebuild sooner or later.

EDIT: I believe this is an older version of the tower look (allegedly 1897).

But still it's obviously not the original medieval one (I wonder if the one just before the war wasn't an attempt of reconstituting the original spire).

If they rebuild the spire, it will be interesting to see which version they choose and why.

Is it true that only Uphagen's House interior and furnishings (from all of the middle-class houses located in the Old Town) were reconstructed after WW2? Are other middle-class houses just commieblocks with nice looking exterior? Correct me if I'm wrong...

"Dom Uphagena stoi przy ul. Długiej 12 i jest jedyną w Gdańsku odtworzoną wraz ze swym wystrojem kamienicą mieszczańską."

You may be interested that they are restoring the clock tower right now. Here are some photos from the restoration work:

Per Unhagen House. Yes, it is completely restored from pre-war photos, furniture and all.
