IMO skybridges = loss in public realm. And this one's maybe not that good looking either. But all in all I think it's okay.

I agree on a technical level (like, a city full of skybridges rather than sidewalks a la Minneapolis is an urban disaster) but I don't think it's an issue in this case-- Scandinavia is a cold place most times of the year and Malmö in general (and Hyllie in particular) is windy as f*ck pretty much all the time. It's a good idea to allow expo visitors to get between the exhibition centre and the hotel without having to go outside-- surely that will be highly appreciated and add value to the hotel.

We need to get off our high urban horses and be pragmatic sometimes.

just see the render, they made it really transparent, Im sure they didnt want to show it at all. In reality it will really really mess with the nice composition of the towers.

Also, how will that airy nice atrium look like with a stupid skybridge ramming right INTO it. Its something the architects probaby didnt want to include, and didnt think too much about it, but reluctantly let it stay. It wont be nice.

You're right, I think the skybridge has been included as some sort of compromise because the exhibition centre next door wanted it there.

The Arena is easily the most ugly thing in this area, so I'm glad they are covering it up as much as possible

Yeah the arena is pretty horrible! I, too, am glad it is being gradually covered up along the north end. One positive aspect of the arena is that it is open towards the street level from all other sides though.
