China through endless money at Beijing Games and China is not a Democracy.

The people of London would never except having to pay such costs.
London has decided to go in different direction and make sure the Stadium
can be changed after games ( like a meccano set ) the top tear will come away
and it can be easily reconfigured. ( like a flat pack kit )

Completely different approaches to hosting the games.
( completely different Olympic Games )

In-fact the Beijing Stadium is traditional and London Stadium is radical
concept for what London needs.
