My bad... yes, it's going to be in the Old Borders Books location.

Any chance they meant north of the Paramount Hotel and its opening in the Olivian?! So cool if it did with Urbane across the street.

Yeah, sounds very similiar, but looks like they have a better menu. I talked to a friend of mine in AZ who has gone to one, and she said they are kinda pricey, but you can get a yard of beer there.

I passed by the former "Red Balloon Company" site just north of the old Restoration Hardware site, and it looks like a place called Vessel is going to open there. I believe this place used to be on Fifth next to the Fifth Avenue Theatre. It's a bar or something.

You are correct!

They talk about this move some time ago. Glad to hear progressing.

Opening date announced?

Oh good. I'm glad they're still in business and that that "cold" side of Pacific Place is getting a cool watering hole. I didn't actually check to see when they'd open, but they already have the sign installed, so probably pretty soon. I'm glad to see more bars and restaurants opening in the area so that shoppers will have more places to drink and dine.

Yea theyve had a lot of delays but itll be worth it. Vessel was my favorite bar when they were at 5th and University- then they closed abruptly with no explanation. This one will still be drink-focused but with new emphasis on food and a bigger space. I look forward to being a regular and going back and forth between them and Blueacre.

Joule Restaurant is moving closer to Fremont:

The husband and wife owners also own Revel in Fremont.

Same side of Terry as Cactus just a little further north (maybe a block north). This space faces Terry but also faces north towards the large courtyard with the historic brick building and curved art wall thing. A new Starbucks is on the north side of the same courtyard. I sat in the sunny courtyard today as all the Amazon folks walked around. Seems like this year will be a little different in terms of how they might use the courtyard for events since they're way more moved in now compared to last summer. Should be an amazing space.

It's a totally logical location. Decent foot traffic, right by a late-night mall, near shoppers, etc. I shall certainly endeavour to patronise this establishment.

Checked out Pine Box last night.

Ehh. Was pretty disappointed that they turned the heated outdoor seating area into a driveway or whatever. It could have been a fun Euro-style beer garden or something with an outdoor grill area or a stage, even. It was so packed inside that no one in my group could get a beer and the bar itself takes up half the floor space. Maybe after the hype dies down....I dunno. Maybe I'll try to hit it up on some Saturday afternoon or something.

Funny. I almost did the same, but glad I didn't I guess. Was wondering if it was pretty much beer only. Food menu? Upstairs open?

I went to Cuoco on the Tom Douglas campus on Friday. Nice room, food was great. Make sure you get the lasagna.
