I must admit it's good to see some greenery coming to the city, I quite like Millenniun Point too. I do wish they would make it free entrance though for the not so well off folk in the city, I think there should be more for the engineering and motor heritage side here, make it more comprehensive, and specificallly Birmingham.

Can they not continue the gardens up to the water? Also what is being built far left corner? Looks interesting. I would love to see that VTP Tower still go up down here somewhere.

I know you were asking Simon, but here's an answer.

I had a look at a studio apartment. I'm ideally looking for a 2 bed, but it was quite spacious anyhow. I'll get some photo's from Knight Frank-Massively overpriced. I said the tops I'd pay was 90k. They were like... Don't look here then!

use the link for general photos from 1 bed and studio flats:

I think I've found a few in the Jewellry Quarter(nearest BT Tower) My spec was 2 bed and a balcony, no ground floor. Max price of like 150k.-Absolute max.

I'm using Find a Prop, that's fairly good as well I think.

Far Left corner, where the Tower would have been, next to the point, and next to the 'Car Park of The Year 2012' is the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design which is being built at the moment..

Hope that helps. The park is coming on great and cant wait till September/October...a giant step for Brum

I think I know which ones you mean. Are they the ones that were built for BCC as council housing, but BCC refused them as they were poorly made? Just want to double check.

I'm looking at Fleet Street, very good pricing down that street. Isslington Gates? something like that. the flats near the nice bridge. I'm based in notts atm for uni. it just depends where I get a job. Bham is my choice really, I prefer the city.

Ah thanks for the info. Well the Park does look to have potential, I hope the water features and smaller details work, and that it's kept well looked after. No reason wht not! I'm not sure about the new building though, could go either way, I guess it's not too bad for the location.

Went up to Eastside today (Saturday 31st March 2012) on a grey, dull, rainy day.

Took some pictures of the Eastside Garden.

I have said before this is a very difficult place to get photographs (unless you live in the Masshouse flats !) as there is a 10 foot high fence
round almost all of the site.

The few pictures below were either taken through "holes" in doors, or over the top of fences.

This first picture below shows the garden which will run along the front of the Millenium Point building

This second picture below shows part of the Science Park.

I think this will be the main "entrance" into the Science park. The two "walls" either side donating the entrance.

Third picture below, more of science park.

Fourth picture below, more of the science park

This will look great.

I was interested when in the think tank recently to see the very detailed leaf/tree detail on the fence thats been constructed around the science Gardens...looks amazing.

The kids will like this area....and a few adults too next summer bunking off work for a sunbathe and a splash!

Here is a picture of the fence. I did not post it originaly as it is not a very good picture, but does show the fence quite well

p.s. I do notice a few "pointed" bits of metal at the top of this fence so do wonder if the design may be changed due to
"health and safety"

This picture below (not a very good one) does show how potentually dangerous this fence may be for children.
