I check the same page with firefox, the ipad word does not becomes a link (which give you the pop up), can you try a different browser, maybe your chrome has some ads scripts installed.

Maybe for some reason, the server think our time has changed due to Day light Saving.

edit: I justed read DLS just begin in the US today, maybe some bugs in the code has something to do with it.

there is a wedding going on outside my door, they are so bloody noisy I can't even hear myself talking. Why is this custom even allowed, it block roads, restrict neihghbours access, and makes so much noise.

Come on, MrFusion. It is a tradition that leaders would not dare to touch. Welcome to Cambodia. This is the way of life of Cambodians. You may want to move to some places that there are more foreigners than Cambodians, and there you would get less or none of this.

They finished at about 11pm, after that is just some clean up, table fold up type of minor noise. So my anger and frustration has also stopped at 11pm.

I understand it is a tradition, I am annoy when it seriously block traffics, it is the first time I am right above it and have to live with the heart-beating /eardrum damaging music (which becomes noise as I don't understand Khmer) for hours. There are also monks praying noise (which sounds like funeral praying) which started at about 4am.

I have also been told, with these street wedding, the family has to apply from the authority, and they need to pay some money, so obvious the authority makes money out of it and there are no reason for them to stop these type of tradition.

Thank god, that neighbors has run out of daughter to be married, and my other neighbors daughters are still like 8 or 9, maybe I will get some peace for a while. I assume these sort of things only happen on the bride's place.

Can someone explain why Kampong in Kampong Cham and Kompong Thom spell differently? The Khmer part looks the same to me.

It's not difference but the above (Kampong) is wrong.. it's should be Kompong...
Maybe I'm not 100% right but if write:

Kompong Thom.. it's should Kompong Cham as well..
Kampong Thom.. it's should Kampong Cham as well..

its actually got to do with the word kampong in malay which means a town by the riverside such kampong ayer in brunei
