Let's leave it there..
I will leave it at that but not before asking you the following question: whatever propaganda the Kabila regime may have indulged in, why do you find it so hard to acknowledge that your statement asserting that avenue de Liberation is “still largely without sidewalks all the way from 30 juin to Telecongo tower” does not correspond to the truth? When have you last been to Kinshasa?

Pius, are you using hyperboles to give the impression that "largely" doesn't mean exactly what it means? By the way, what means Kinshasa is "largely" without electricity and clean drinking water for many years? What means JoKa's regime is "largely" corrupt, inefficient and weak, unable to bring security across the country and offer basic public services to people?

This has become ludicrous; I prefer to leave at that.

Hey guys, I think you should make a truce for now. This all discussion is not going anywhere and I think we understand the points being made by both sides .

You can't be serious for talking like that. I mean people just don't understand the heavy task at hand. Kinshasa has doubled in population, the transport line from Inga is saturated meaning they must build another one for Kin, only 4 of the turbines even work, the Country is under austerity so it can't borrow, You have the IMF breathing on their neck due to the high debt. YOu may have received better electricity and water when Kin was half populated but the gov at that time was borrowing to get it done and now the country had accumulated too much debt which is causing people running now problems.

You must have an idea how serious The West is about "their money". Just look at what they're doing to Greece another European country.
The country has been in a mess and it will take time to pull through, one thing at the time.

I respectfully disagree. If the task of fixing the country's problems seems too tedious to the current president allegedly because "population has increased" then JoKa shoulld abdicate to allow another person more creative, inspirational, active and with a high standard of integrity take the leadership of the country. It's so simple.
There are many intelligent ways of solving the current country's woes but it will take someone else with new ideas and ideals to do it. The current governing president has ran out of ideas bcse he has been in power for too long. It's only in third-world countries where incumbents unashamedly cling to power even after they inspire no more and have ran out of ideas on how to best serve their fellow countrymen.

NO doubt there people with more creative, inspirational, active and with a high standard of integrity to take leadership of Congo or any other country for that fact. While we wait for the perfect government, in the meantime we still have to deal with the government in place now

On l'avait oublié celui là!
