#Media Quarters - 6F - Mixed Use - Green Point | Complete
Combined with the Beaulah and Bronx building redevelopments, this is going to make a nice change to the area
 ----- Media Quarters Designed on behalf of EHH architects, the Media Quarters represents a transformation in what was arguably the ugliest building on the most valuable commercial street in cape Town which links the City to the Atlantic Seaboard. This 60 year old building is being stripped to its bare skeleton, re-muscled and given a fresh layer of skin, its insides are being gutted to allow light to flood in and space to take over. The tenant mix is purely design and media related in a very attractive and upmarket creative node of CT’s CBD. Work is well under way. For some reason I only noticed it today.
I'm not sure whether they're still going for the same design, however, as you'll notice by the broken links above that the renders have been removed from the architects' website. Here's another link to one of the renders:

It's very interesting to see these plans. I am now living in Korea, but walked past this every day, on the way to and back from work at DHK.
I'll have to check it out when I one day come back for a vacation! |

They've started work on the top floor. It's added quite a bit of height to the building...looks quite impressive! This is from 3 days ago...quite a bit has changed already:
