Small update - I contacted with Arhitektuuribüroo Pluss and Indrek Allmann told me that they have made 3 different projects of Kentmanni 6 with variable height & size,but so far developer hasn't selected anything.

I guess well have to wait (hopefully not to long)...

Original Kentmanni 6 building was designed by Irina Raud and Ain Kalberg from R-Konsult. Construction started in late 2007 and was put on hold in 2008. Underground floor have been built and building is basically at ground level. Site has been conservated.

I have mixed feelings about this - I like that there will be a new high-rise in the city and that the abandoned plot will be filled.

At the same time, Rävala street with a future breakthrough to Pärnu mnt. had the potential of becoming a major city artery - including buildings like Stockmann-Swissotel-Maakri 19/21-SEB -City plaza-Radisson- future Rävala Galleries- Teaduste akadeemia - Foreign ministry- Solaris - Music academy and taking Pärnu mnt directly all the way to the airport.

Now the Kentmanni building will visually end the road there (even though cars can still drive under it)

This is great news! Updated thread title. According to construction permit Kentmanni 6 will have 63 two room apartments,43 three room apartments and 5 four room apartments.

The Sakala street end is now taller than Kentmanni kool (one story plus sloping roof, remember).
