I dont like it......the newer renderings almost swayed me, but i have gone back to disliking it again. The reasons:
- Ugly proportions, too fat on top, to skinny at the bottom - Too far from the main cluster, too tall for the location - I dont like the cladding, i have said it before and i will say it again.......what is with the current trend for London buildings to have stripy stainless steel cladding??? e.g The willis building, practically everything at canary wharf e.t.c. Dont get me wrong, i think this style of cladding is nice on buildings like Tower 42 (i.e fantastic looking older buildings), on newer buildings it just looks dated. - I like the building that is already there, just give it a clean, mabey do somthing with the podium, and its a fantastic example of 1960's/70's architecture....i especially love the shiney blue glass. With this building going, and Ropemaker place being demolished (i think thats what its called - its the other 1960's building with shiney green glass). we will be left we no examples of good 60's architecture in the city (in terms of tall buildings that is).............there are masses of other repugnant buildings which could do with a visit from the wrecking ball, yet it always seems to be the reasonably nice buildings that get demolished. i give this building 4.5 (rounded up to 5) |

This building is truly horrid, hopefully it will get destroyed by CABE, EH and any other authority before it even reaches the desks of the Corporation of London.

I don't hate it but it really doesn't seem to fit in with the new London skyline, especially from that last rendering. 6/10

Absolutely despise it.
The City has developed such a strong and unique skyline. This is ill-considered, bulky, overbearing and absolutely ruins the composition. Wouldn't look so bad at Canary Wharf, but it is totally wrong for this location.

This is unfair without the new renders. The old ones look awful and will only attract more hate. New design = 8/10.

I saw the new renders and didn't think they made it look much better.
The issue here is not the building itself, it's how it fits on the skyline. Or more how it doesn't fit.

Looks far better on the skyline then I'd expected. Still a bit too wide for my tastes, though.
