May be nothing soon but certainly in the future.

In this area there is a good number of skyscrapers.. An area for shop, park or a coffe is better respect an other tower!

I saw a recent picture in which the plot appears to have been cleaned. Does this mean the work is about to begin?

The plot has been cleaned years ago. From time to time part of it were used for different purposes (parking, Dine in the Sky) but that's it.

they have leveled the plot between marina heights and the torch tower now. Surprising that nothing has happened on that huge premium marina plot ...

does it still belong to emaar?

They have been turning any unused space into car parking in the marina due to the JBR car park being closed.

This will be developed someday soon when demand increases to a healthy level again. Could be as soon as 2 years now as the worst of the banking problems are nearly over.

Still think this large plot of land might become a recreation area + shopping mall + villas + low rise tower extension to the Marina Arcade that was rumoured a while back.

Heard a rumor, that the road going down to Spinney's will be a one way, hence the removal of the round about. The road shall come up again between MHT and Torch. Hard to imagine, any insights???
