I agree with The Purple Line. As with The Yellow Lone. The 2 and 3G trains already have a 4 car config. But it would be better to renovate and improve the older stations excluding the ones within Balintawak. Better to install TVMs instead of ticket booths.

Both The Yellow and Blue Lines will not be able to accommodate The Line 2 rolling stock. But there are full metro trains that has the same width as those running in the these lines.

i use line3 everyday and i was kinda observing the stations. all the stations' platform could be reconfigured to accomodate trains as wide as line 2's except for Buendia station which is way too small. I think what would solve line3's congestion is by having 4-car rolling stock like line 2's. we dont need a packed train every 2 minutes. we need a wide/big one.

Nais din ng Metro Rail Transit Corporation na kung pwede ang mga tren ng LRT sa MRT at sinukat ang tren ng LRT sa platfornm ng depot. Thanks to Metro Rail Transit Corporation.

This is the way to go, integration of our railway systems especially the LRT/MRT system. Hopefully they are going to use the same trains for better management/maintenance of assets.

2G at 3G lang ata talaga ang pupwede sa L3. Mas mababa ang 1G eh, so tatama sa platform ng MRT yung doors nya.

DLSU to fund LRT extension to Dasmariņas

Quote:
In response to the transport-related concerns of Lasallians regarding the transfer of some colleges to the Leandro V. Locsin Campus, formerly known as De La Salle Canlubang campus, De La Salle University (DLSU) has announced plans to fund an LRT rail extension to Dasmariņas.

Br. Jun Erguiza, FSC shares that LRT extension to Bacoor will be augmented by an extension to neighboring Dasmariņas. "The railway from Bacoor to Dasmariņas would be exclusively run for DLSU students. They would just need to present their IDs for entry," he explains.

Upon disembarking from the train, students can take a shuttle service to the new campus. An ID scanner similar to the ones in the University will be placed in the different entry points of the Dasmariņas station. Students who have incurred a major offense, however, will not be allowed to make use of the station.

Looking to the future
According to the Br. Jun, the extension to Dasmariņas is only a stepping-stone to a bigger project. He shares that the administration and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) are currently negotiating the possible isntallation of an LRT line from DLSU-M to DLSU-C.

Br. Jun posits that students will greatly benefit from the deal. "Travelling from the Taft campus and Canlubang campus would then be as easy as going up the stairs of Miguel Hall. I have the strong feeling that we will secure a deal that would be advantageous to all parties. This would all be worth it."

"It is truly a momentus decision for the University. We all know that change can be sometimes hard. It is essential that we take things one step at a time. Years or decades from now, you would not help, but look back and say to your children that you were a part of that project, and that you witnessed its success," says Br. Jun.

The proposed stations of the LRT1 South Extension Project includes: Redemptorist, Manila International Airport, Asia World, Ninoy Aquino, Dr. Santos, Manuyo Uno, Las Piņas, Zapote, Talaba, Niog. Meanwhile, the new five stations that added by DLSU in the extension project are: (continues from Niog) Bahay na Tubig, Daang Hari, Salitran, Congressional Road, and Governor's Drive-Dasmariņas.

Ayala, Metro Pacific team up for light rail projects

MANILA, Philippines - Two of the Philippines' largest conglomerates, Ayala Corp. and Metro Pacific Investments Corp. have teamed up to bid for Metro Manila's light rail projects -- an aggressive push as it eyes to bid for the country's light rail infrastructure projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

That's a spoof issue of The LaSallian, DLSU's official English newspaper. So no, it's not true.

I like the new cocacola ad. The 3G train of L1 looks wider that it actually is.
