About the 2006 war

This movie has been banned from showing in the biggest Lebanese theaters. I will refrain from commenting on the matter with my personal opinion, but I can't but feel ashamed...

However, since Iranians have contributed in its production, the movie has been banned from showing in Lebanon’s most popular theaters like Empire, City Mall, and Grand Cinemas ABC and is currently being shown at Planete Abraj, Concord, Las Salinas, and Saida Mall. What a shame!

I was fighting their ban as much as I fought banning Steven Spielberg's movie. You see, unlike you, I'm unbiased, and I don't perceive every "delicate" case from a political perspective.

Censorship and "cultural terrorism" is increasing in Lebanon.. no matter what the reasons were..religious, political, etc.. arresting an indie singer for insulting the "president" in a song? banning movies left and right? dear, am totally with what u just stated above, i even posted the video for the love of god, and i just said it's about 2006 war.and i know it was banned from most of the cinema chains and i didn't mention this.

my 2 cents on the issue is that media (and everyone here) should stop using the word "ban". The movie wasn't banned in Lebanon, like Green Days & Hotel Beirut were. It was simply not picked by certain movie theaters since it tackled a sensitive topic that the Lebanese public is split on. It's kind of like how Brokeback Mountain was shown in some theaters but not in others.

Wissarb- I think they are referring to the the armed conflict that happened in summer 2007.

I saw "Where Do We Go Now" 6 times. Thought it was brillant, funny and emotionally strong. Great actors.

I can't wait for Nadine Labaki's next movie "Rock the Casbah" with Hiam Abbas and Lubna Azabal.
