Yes yes, they still plan to have the livery we saw on the pictures.
It will be painted in Toulouse facilities once the cabin flight tests are over in Hamburg.

Question Elktest since your our man on the ground. What's with EKs over due deliveries, any news on what's going on ? That 22nd unit is really taking a long time.

How many EK airframes can you see in Hamburg now ?

the delivery for MSN101 was paln on 21. April. I think next week the plane has the orginel reg. Why not ??
now a 2 Emirates in Hamburg MSN101 and 103. the msn108 first flight on Monday. I think the came to Hamburg on Monday.

I don't understand why they cant have painted it all at one go. now since it has been flying it needs to be cleaned out and painted again and it takes time and money. Nothing is free you know.

I don't really remember why but I think it's simply because their livery design for the a380 wasn"t ready yet when their first bird was in paintshop.
Hamburg facilities are crowded at the moment, so it will be easier to do that in Toulouse as it will also be delivered there.
And indeed, nothing's free, especially a superjumbo.
