Well it is cropped, but its no less macro compared to the rest of the pics seen in this thread...
This is macro...but few of us can take these sorts of shots. http://www.jackbook.com/wp-content/u...era-pocket.jpg I just posted a pic of mine (which was shot using the macro mode on my camera) which kept in style with the rest of the photos in this thread. In an effort to belong obv.

Thought I'd bump up this thread seeing as summer is supposed to be here
![]() I don't have the patience to take macro shots usually, but these are easy ones from the back garden. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

These photos are really amazing Adman. I don't know what should I write cause I still can not imagine that they're real. Very good job!

I've had a little go at these type of shots. I think I need to get the proper lense as it's quite hard for the standard lense to focus in on objects that are so close.

Adman, those wasp macros are stunningly beautiful.
![]() As for my thread, forget about it, I haven't taken a macro in ages.

Wow - just seen Adman's macro shots. They're incredible. I've never tried macro myself but they're making me interested in having a go. Adman they look as though they were taken in a studio - incredible stuff. I don't have a macro lens - what lens did you use ?

Thanks Medo and Smarty.
Smarty, I use a Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX DG on my Nikon D80. It's the only lens I have for the D80. I sold all my other DX lenses when I moved over to the D700. Best to shoot macro in manual on a tripod with a remote control. Shoot in RAW rather than jpg, as you have more flexibility adjusting the white balance. |
