You must be wrong because the curtain wall structure is progressing already and first glass is scheduled to be installed only in june or something. So apparently they will install glass without using the platforms. Inner cladding will be no problem since they will install it from the buildings levels as they usually would do. More interesting is how they will cope with the exterior glass.

fair enough, although most high-rise towers are by definition phallic, so it's nice to see a beautiful, feminine supertall for a change.

I live exactly 8822km away from the Shanghai Tower but i will see the building for the third time in my live. In 2010 i stayed in Shanghai, in 2011 i made a stop at the airport and could see that building during the landing (my pics are in this thread) and in October i will have a 9 hours stop at the Shanghai airport. I will leave the aiport go to Jin Mao and take a picture from 340m above ground

Which height of the Shanghai Tower can i expect by that time?

interesting how they configured the favelle tower cranes. 4 cranes on the outside of the core and jacking them up above the floors on special cradles that double as braces or ties. Never seen it done this way before.

In October? I would estimate around 350m, because the goal is 400m by the end of the year yes?
