It's been raining with thunder and all here in Riyadh - yes we do get rain here when season changes, tho this one has been over extended for a month really weirdly/unusually (global warming?). Anyway friends ask why my excitement and the ear to ear grin on my face. I replied, "I wonder how that rain and thunder feel and sound like close to the glass balcony door and windows, 45 floors high up...?".

Kidding asside, when the place gets filled with towers, especially office ones, for the investor in Light, he/she will have plenty of tenants. For the resident, he/she can surely find a job walking distance. Winner, either way. Let's not forget, MRT just downstairs, or should I say down the lifts, ready to whisk us away for a change of scene.
That's why I chose 47th floor at T2.

Parang tinipid ba? Got to see close up pics and maganda naman. I was also initially disappointed, especially because most pics of model units show a lighter color. Pero on second thought, black is elegant and should be easier to clean and maintain.

Kaya, ah lav me black kitchen counter top na. Ha ha. Although I wonder if they have it different in other units.

I also want to be at the highest possible floor there is available (bless SMDC for prices being the same no matter how high the floor). Sadly, when I got last March, the highest 1BR with balcony available in T3 facing the ammenities, without being blocked by T1, was on the 45th. There was one on the 47th, too, kaya lang medyo natakpan na ng T1. Meron din sa T2, but cant wait that long. Gusto ko na lumipat bukas!! Lol!

Sana yung kita ang view ng balcony through the glass door and windows. Anyone, pls?

Kaya sabi ko sa agent ko, I need one with a balcony. Dahil doon ako magluluto ng tuyo, daing, at bagoong. Ha ha.

Well, SMDC got to plan out a change of lifestyle among its residents. Unlike ALI, Megaworld, Rockwell, they offer community development, something cultural. SMDCs were just like condos, and shopping to their malls. Well, just my opinion...
What you pointed out is true. (Btw, I got my unit here in Light way later than this exchange of opinions, guys. Got it only this March 2012. Browsing through the thread just now. Hope u don't mind my responding this late.)

I did consider Eastwood, then New Port, Then Mckinley, and of course pricey Global City for the "township" (as Megaworld calls it) concept they made and are making. Of course the Fort is much bigger than just the former three. But in the end, I said to my self, if I buy in those first three, the convenience is mainly if I work there, too. But what if my work is outside of those townships? Like, if I live in Eastwood and work in Makati? Or in Mckinley and work in Quezon? In the end, the MRT tipped the decision for me. I imagine living in light, any which direction of work is cool, Makati, Ortigas, or even Quezon. For that vibrant lifestyle, as u call it, I'll let MRT just whisk me away again to either direction; or, drive on the weekends If I want to go to Eastwood or Mckinley, or The Fort. But on a working day to day basis, Light with its SM and ammenities is vibrant enough for me.

Now, if I get extra cash for investing, then I'd like to get in those townships. . Like I'm seriously considering Viceroy in Mckinley. Not Eastwood though. Takot ako sa Ondoy for Eastwood. That place was spared that time, but hey, Ayala was never flooded before, if you get my drift.

What I don't like at T3 is the congestion on that side. There are so many building construction on that side. Pity are those who bought the lower floors which will be blocked by the buildings.

Same here, MRT access and location are the reasons why I chose Light. Boni Mandaluyong is very near to Makati, Ortigas, GBC, etc.

You can say that, yes. However, the same might be true with T2 in the future. Only T1 has the wideness of EDSA. that is why, I chose my unit facing the ammenities - i know from the start what and how close the building is in front of me.

In the end though, buildings proximity will be like that in Makati Salcedo and Legaspi villages. Unless super high-end ang project sitting on a wider piece of land, and where the design is to distant the towers from its neighbors. See what's happening in Global City, buildings are standing shoulder to shoulder na rin.

The good thing with T2 is the Madison St which provide space between T2 and any possible building that will rise opposite T2.
Not to mention, my unit is at 47th floor. The future bldg must be higher than my unit to block my view. I hope otherwise.

Oh, yes, I examined the podium plans and photos, a well as videos closer. Kase I was thinking of the service road, under the cinema theaters, giving that space between T3 and Pioneer Woodland. Two visits ko lang kase dyan sa site when I reserved last March before flying out of the country again.

Good for you. Sana nga our future neighbor there won't block your floor.

Pero on the whole, yun pa rin pala ang "little" added advantage ng light ano? The service road around it. Unlike other buildings where the podiums are really firewall to firewall.

My excitement is really that of a future resident. Been browsing the thread and read so many pure investors' and/or speculators' posts. They have their reasons for wanting Light to be really good, nice of them, but iba pa rin sentiments ng residents.

My dream exactly. Yey! Kaya lang you might want to rethink and change your mind about going down (to the restaurants?and movie houses?) in your sleeping gear. Lol.

I used to drive between Cavite and Makati before. Grabe how we have to leave at 4AM just to beat the traffic. And arrive home usually past 10PM. As in! And to save a bit on gas, we have some neighbors who carpooled with us paying monthly. Thing is, kahit bagyo and I would wish to absent, nandyan na sila sa aming doorway. Kaya drive na naman. Whew!

Kidding asside, the picture you painted is exactly what I am dreaming of. Working now abroad, and bought a house and lot back in my hometown CDO. But who knows I live again in Manila, either employed or doing my own business na. Definitely wont wan'na go back to Cavite driving days.

Kaya nga i refused even the wonderful township dev't like Eastwood, Newport, and Mckinley. As I explained in another post, what if i live in Eastwood and work in Makati? Argh! And I did live before in Villamor before moving to Cavite - its still hassle driving to Makati, and when we moved office, to Ortigas.

Kaya, with what I can afford now, it's definitely Light with it's bridge to MRT, and it's mall below. Plus of course, the .8 hectares ammenities.

Dream on, lets!

I would rather work hard, live my life one day at a time, then enjoy whatever I have now.
