That's what makes the MP 89 my all time favorite subway train. That and its sleek, modern design

I don't know if this is a right topic to post this question, but do you know if RATP or SNCF plans to organize sort of "metro (or RER or whatever
) open days". I mean any kind of possibility to visit atelier or to ride Sprague-Thompson or to visit abandoned stations. To conclude, is there any party connected with public transport planned this year? If yes, when? |

![]() Usually, it is the organization ADEMAS that organizes such events. They have done so many times in the past (I think the last time they did a Sprague run was in 2010), but I heard from a few sites here and there that the Sprague cannot run on the system anymore, not even for heritage days. I could be wrong though.

There are some visit but I don't know where is the next one. Also these visit are often full, you need to reserve a place early.
Usually in the Heritage days in September, the RATP (with ADEMAS) is quite active. ![]() Falguière

![]() But Heritage days still does happen? I'd love to see a video with a Sprague and an MP 89CC side by side on Line 4.

Heritage days is not only limited to the RATP, a lot of monuments, companies open their doors in the whole country.
Even if the Sprague don't run, there is still many other visits in the metro network.

Thanks for your replies. I'm a little bit disappointed, because I thought that I will be able to participate in such event during my stay in Paris this summer.
I've got also a question concerning Paris museum of urban transport owned by Amtuir organisation. Why has it been closed for last 15 years. I saw on their website that they have unbelievably huge collection of old buses, trams, even metro cars. Unfortunately I don't know French, so I could not understand the webpage which says about the reasons for which they closed the museum. Do you know why is it closed. What problems do they have and when is it expected to reopen? |

No exactly , Chateau Landon is connected with the platforms of Gare de l'Est railway terminal, not the Gare de l'Est subway station.
