A bit off-topic but ...
I was just looking at the chart for the EuroSwiss, and all I can say is, I'm impressed! The SNB, at least to date, has been doing a stunning job of holding that 1.20 EUR/CHF level. It's practically a straight line! I bet the BOJ wishes they could have as much success with the yen.

AUD likely to soar if there's a good number of Spanish bond sales tonight.

CPI only 0.1% last quarter, expected: 0.7%. AUD down down down like Coles prices. I smell rate cut on horizon.

Trimmed Mean (RBA's favourite) was 0.3% - with an expected 0.6%
Headline rate 1.6% for the year (Mar quarters) - that's 0.4% outside (below) of RBA's target range.

on the other hand we could find ourselves in the beautiful situation where despite WA going pretty well we get the bonus of interest rates being brought down due to the other states. will create a short/mid term opportunities for us over here

If official interest rates drop, it doesn't mean the banks' interests rates will drop. They've been climbing at the moment

Fed indicated overnight it won't hesitate to stimulate US economy again if needed - shares up, AUD up, 1.04 by this evening IMO.

If RBA cuts rates on Tuesday IMO it will have only a small short-term impact, i.e. the AUD will trade down during Aussie session but make up the losses in offshore trading that evening.

Pardon? I have no time to worry since I am currently much too busy looking for nice things to buy from my future profits once the AUD hits parity.
