An LA Times article reported that details should be announced soon, that's about all I know.

STOP THE CITY VS. CITY KIDS!
Loqy Lion got banned for it and others will follow, if they aren't able to behave properly.

Although the design looks like BofA in NYC it actually dwarfs that building by some measure. Can't wait to hear about a re-design and what they come up with. The only way for LA to go is up.

Will there be an observation deck? LA needs one, let alone California

We aren't even aware of the newer design yet. Hold your horses.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Dome_Lodge.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...alf_Dome10.jpg What, if anything, a sheer cliff face in the northern Sierra Nevadas some 350 miles from Los Angeles has to do with the the city itself still confounds me. Very removed from the heavy SoCal mentality that blankets this place. Anyway, I guess I'm sick of people comparing the moot Tower A design to BOA Tower when, frankly, they aren't even that similar -- from the literal appearance right down to the designers' original artistic conceptualizations and near opposite metropolitan/wilderness motifs. VS ![]() I just hope the re-design still places it taller than Library Tower. The skyline has changed minimally in 20 years. It will give the blimps something else to film when they do the fly-overs of the Ritz at Staples Center events. Last edited by sieradzanin1; May 10th, 2012 at 03:04 PM. |

They do have some similarities, but they're hardly twins. Anyway, this has already been discussed, and it's sorta pointless now since this design isn't getting built as far as we know.

So I assume we're getting some watered down garbage, yes? Why does this always happen to us?!

Is there any particular reason to assume that?

Can't disagree with you on that one in particular. And the copy-and-paste Transbay Tower in SF is kind of a disappointment, even if it's not ugly on its own. But who knows; maybe they'll pull a fast one on us and make it crazy awesome. Ya never know.

Although I'm not familiar with that user, I think that's probably the purpose of his comment. Stupid trollish comments like that are meant to incite anger.

. So I am guessing that his love of NYC, has made him hate competing cities like LA and CHI. By the way, mega tall is the new word the CTBUH uses for buildings over 600m
