Strict regulations in general. Too much hassles, and I don't think the size of the Somali communities in the West are large enough to make it viable as opposed to back home.
I think exporting the milk and meat to the Gulf is more viable anyway. Closer with a population that could probably embrace it more than in the West. |

The EU doesn't considered the camel to be a dairy animal.
You can get camel milk in Somali populated areas in the west but its very limited and very expensive. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/uae-w...pe-304184.html This site claims the UAE won approval rights, but its been over a year now and you cant find it on EU supermarket shelves. Something people often overlook is that camels are bad milkers. |
