See I much prefer the interior to the exterior

The gatemax hotel is a bastion for conflict of interest and unfair practice. I began to work on this project and shortly resigned from the project and firm afterwards.
The developer and main contractor are two individual companies but they work together in cohoots to defraud unsuspecting sub contractors. They do not pay. The company responsible for the surrounds had to close one factory because they were owed R1,8 million. The construction quality is so amazingly poor. Do yourself a favour: drive past along umhlanga rocks drive and check out how badly natal construction have built this building- it is out by over 1 meter on one end. The glazing was done so badly that the glass was warping and shattering. Saantha Naidu, the owner of Coastlands and the main developer is a shark. No formal contracts were entered into and nobody aside from the main contractor, the lead architect and the developer knew what the final budget was to be. This made it incredibly difficult for any of the other subs to properly price. The one floor is so low I don't believe it would pass. It has had a mezzanine inserted into it to allow for additional bulk. Everything about this project was nefarious. |
