The shot was from the hump, the immediate area isn't bad, but looks not to be cut as often. I believe it's a public footpath along the fence, so I would've thought it needs to be kept passable.

That location I assume Is on the side of the tristar? If so It would be within the airports new boundary for its runway exp, the area down at the golf course still seems sketchy, as to where their boundary actualy Is? when you look on goog le maps, there appears to be mown lawns very close to the mound used as fairways, but I'm wondering how correct this Is? It would be great If there was a boundary where the g-course didd'nt use or want..... |

Anyone who has experience of/or could throw light on the actual golf course boundary, around the hump location, I would be obliged to hear from.
I am talking to some quite high profile people within the aviation/business world about my Idea, but to locate and establish the correct owners of land, and their desires/intentions for the said land/s Is not easy, as with all things -Money Talks.............. |

Photographs taken yesterday afternoon from around the Coventry Rd.
Runway extension enabling works. Seems like they are rerouting the water courses. image hosted on flickr Any body know if the control tower will be open to the public before it goes live? It would make a fabulous photo opportunity of the Birmingham sky line. image hosted on flickr image hosted on flickr P1010183 by metrogogo, on Flickr

April Passenger Figures up 2.4%
CAA figures: April 2012 BHX 701541 up 2.4% rolling year 8608598 - 0.6 ATM's 6866 +2.1 rolling year 83309 -2.3% I have not seen the breakdown between charter and passengers but Manchester was certainly dragged down by a significant decrease in IT pax. BHX had on extra Monarch based and virtually one extra BMI baby compared to April 2011. |

some very positive figures there and good to see a good step in the direction of growth..
as you say, the extra monarch and bim flights certainly help that, lets just hope the loss of bmi in september doesnt cloud things too much as hopefully a majority of the routes should hopefully be replaced. some interesting stats in there... DUBAI 39,490 down -12.37% apparently all emirates routes in the country showed a reduction in passengers with the exception of manchester... and they were only up 3,000 passenger and they had an extra daily flight compared to last year so this seems like part of a bigger picture/issue here... ISLAMABAD 10,121 up 0.18% yes its only small growth, but their manchetse rna dnlondon routes were all down significantly so this is nice to see. NEW YORK (NEWARK) 6,650 down -23.34 This isnt nice at all but this is mainly as a consequence of them not starting their wednesday flights until may this year, instead of april last year.... there was 60 flights in april 2011 but only 44 in april 2012.. thats said, the loads were at 89% which is in increase on last year so that puts that one in context

No I just posted the links to Manchester airport traffic stats and said that the figures for all airports are massively off due to Easter being earlier/later.
That would have huge impact on certain markets>charter, as posted above. I would be hugely disappointed if Woody has removed the post. I don't think he should be allowed to control to that extent without an explanation. This is not his forum he is a custodian only. |

Maybe it would be better to post those on the Manc Airport thread?
This thread does tend to attract a lot of Manc content which can be frustrating. Agree about not deleting stuff though...its a bit 1984 for my liking. |
