This is an article in today's Manorama Business page.

It says about a German who is in Kerala to start an IT park. He runs an IT park in Germany. He is looking to Technopark and Infopark for this.

I don't know why the author is so sarcastic, when someone is ready to invest in our state.

The report also says, that no more SEZ's be allotted by GoI after March 31, 2014. So there will be huge demand for IT SEZ space in the state.

If this is true, it is a great news for Kerala IT as many SEZ's are under development.

EXL Services lifts UST Global’s GOAL 2012 for Infopark companies

In the closely fought finals played on Sunday, EXL Services won over ACS, a Xerox Company, by 3-2 to lift GOAL 2012, the first edition of the football tournament organised by UST Global for companies based in Infopark, Kochi. The success of GOAL, an annual football tournament at Technopark, Trivandrum prompted UST Global to conduct a similar event in Infopark. The month long tournament was held at the CUSAT grounds in Kochi.

The second runner-up of the tournament was the host team from UST Global, who won over Arbitron Technology by a solitary goal in an equally hard fought match in the loser's finals that extended into extra-time. The Golden Boot Award of the tournament was won by Augustine Jose, EXL Services and the Golden Ball Award went to Vimal Vidyadharan, UST Global.

Enjoying the festivity, Sunil Balakrishnan, Centre Head, UST Global, Kochi said “GOAL is a much celebrated event organised by UST Global in Technopark, Trivandrum. The Football tournament started as an ‘all Company’ engagement activity by UST associates which aimed at engaging the Technopark community as a whole. ISPG Tech named Premier SME partner of Google

KOCHI, MAY 10:
ISPG Technologies, the Kochi-based IT company, has been selected as Premier SME Partner by Google. Only five organisations have been awarded Premier SME partner status in India and ISPG Technologies is the only one in Kerala.

Mr K.G. Sajith, Managing Director and CEO, ISPG Technologies, said the partnership with Google would help the company provide clients with high-end executive, technical, sales, marketing and account management services.

Through Premier SME partnerships, Google aims at helping SME businesses create, optimise and manage their online advertising campaigns. The partnership will enable ISPG Technologies to provide SMEs the most effective advertising solutions including full-service campaign management and one-on-one customer support, he said.

Mr K.G. Sreejith, Director (Sales and Web Management), ISPG Technologies, pointed out that a majority of the companies were not utilising the growing opportunities of Internet and e-commerce, though Internet usage in the country was on the rise. It is estimated that there would be 200 million Internet users in India by 2015.

The market faces a lack of efficient organisations capable of supporting and directing companies in this regard, he said.

Referring to future plans, he said the company would provide business houses expertise in the online space and encourage entrepreneurs to utilise the potential of online advertising campaigns.

Currently, the company caters to 200 international brands and 100 brands from Kerala. As Google’s Premier SME partner, the company hopes to increase its clientele in the State to over 1,000, he said.

The company is not based in IP or CSEZ. Shows IT in Kochi is not confined to IT parks.

ISPG has 2 facilities in panampilly nagar alone, including their HQ. i think, nothing less than 500 employees working here...s/w development centers in Cochin, Bangalore and Gurgaon and Marketing offices in Dubai, UAE; Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Seattle, Washington, USA.

I'm not sure this is the suitable thread to post.But we need to protest any such happenings especially in an IT sector.Why our authorities are turning back to these people.These issues will make bad image on outsiders.Its high time to evacuate these people immediately.

Read on Manorama today that district authority requires a study to vacate the petty shop invasion along the Infopark road.
The interesting thing is that the authority has plan to make this road much modern which suits with the IT zone and they were waiting to implement this design until the encroachers themselves move from this zone.

Setting up a nice pedestrian way along the side of Edachira canal would be scenic beauty .
District authority could utilize this space putting up mini shopping space which do not hinder the beauty of the place.
The road should get 4 lined with proper median,parking space and pedestrian walkway.
There should be a permanent police Aid post and pre paid Auto & Taxi counter here along this stretch.
