This is impressive, and I think that you are mental.

i'm not so much concerned about securing it down as i am just having to rebuild the thing.. it's not worth it for me to have to re-do the structure if they add like 10m to the height and the design doesn't change.. it's just too time consuming, but as for designs, i think it would be fun to build sapphire tower and the previous design proposals to see what we could of had on the site!

i've got a good idea of what the design will look like, but to be safe i'll wait till we get shots of the buildings south and east facing sides, just to be safe

you really skipped over a couple blocks to do that didn't you? it looks quite good! (except for the almost stupidly empty blocks between aura and the rest of the city)

This is incredible! Holy crap! Well done, steveve. I used to do this kind of stuff, but with random junk from my crawlspace or garage -- but nothing this impressive.

LOL!.. ya, i did,.. especially the Atrium on Bay block which i decided not to build yet, because there's rumours of a height addition to the complex which i'll hold off till then,
also, along yonge street, all those low-lying buildings i don't want to build incase sites like the Worlds Biggest Bookstore are developed

This weekend i finished the entire college park block, i'll take photos shortly.

Maybe we'll get a "World's Tallest Bookstore" some day! 101 storeys of books!

I hope you keep this stuff up when you're off getting edumacated in University, Steve. I wish I could do something a little more pro-active but when a project is done and I have free time I end up vegging. Perhaps I'll try to Steveve things and work on some more renders I'll start...NOW.

lol! ^ go for it, everyone gets lazy

April 14, 2012

Been sorta busy to take photos/build more, but the College Park block is pretty much complete, and I'm working my way north along Bay Street... soon to follow are Lumiere, Murano, Burano, etc... all those blocks of yonge/bay north of college hopefully will be complete by the end of the month.

I decided to go along with INDX condos, i built it at 190m, and i found out yesterday the height will be 178m (face-palm)!.. whatever, i'll figure something out or maybe they'll increase the height by a few metres lol!

Also, I went along with Bay Adelaide East at 196m. I'm holding off on Bay Adelaide North because nothing is yet finalized on that one.

The impact of INDX and Bay Adelaide East will be actually large on the skyline, especially INDX. it'll seal off the gaps and further densify the area. Can't wait for 100 Adelaide!

Murano is also complete along with some more blocks along Yonge in between Gerard and Elm.

Update May 13, 2012:

I've built as far north as i can, Mowat Block is completed to the north (aka Wellesley),

blocks i've left empty are for what i believe to be potential redevelopment (a lot around Yonge/College, like the north-west and south-west corners.

although someone please tell me if those buildings won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

also, blocks i've left empty are for blocks with proposals (like 880 Bay, 500 Yonge twins, Karma, and 460 Yonge.)

Questions:

Anyone know if there are any chances of Karma Condos or Massey Tower getting height increases/reductions? because i will build them if not,

If anyone has any info on the Atrium on Bay 5 storey addition and where they'll be adding the height please tell me.

Also, if anyone has any more renders/info on the massing of the City Hall 2 condo (forget the name but it's the condo at Bay/Dundas) please tell me as well

Thanks if you guys can help me out.

*And forget the fact that INDX is knocked over in this pic, didn't realize it when i took the photo lol.

City Hall 2 is called Motion.
This is literally the only pic of it. Concert doesn't even have floorplans on their site...

karma is going to be what it is currently. massey Hasn't been approved yet, so there is a chance it will be downgraded, but that chance is small.

That's because it's going to be a rental building.
