At least the Brighton ones have been designed in a way so there are no restricted views like ours at molineux

... at Molineux it looks like the architects have placed the disabled platforms in the new stand randomly.

There are a few rows of regular seating below the disabled platforms at the AMEX which make it look ok.

Hopefully the actual upper tier of the East Stand will look somewhat better in the flesh - this shot has been discussed in great depth on NorthStandChat.com, and the conclusion was that when you compared the image with the submitted plans that whoever did the image wasn't very good with Photo Shop!

A good little stadium this which will only get better with this development, shows what a bit of imagination can do compared to the dross that the last 20 years has produced like Saint Marys and the Riverside...

And if England ever bids for the Euro's again (2024 perhaps) then it would be perfectly set up to be one of the 10 host cities.

On a more modest scale:

Thanks Brighton for opening our new ground.

Won't be a dry eye amongst fans of a certain age.

Like everyone else I'm very impressed with this development.

Is work on the North Stand definitely happening next summer, ie have the contracts been signed?

Also which area do the away fans usually sit in?

The away end was the South Stand, it is being shifted to the lower South East corner for the new season though - some season ticket holders in the East Stand have been relocated (they got first dibs on the upper tier of the East Stand).

With regards to the North Stand, yes it'll be complete for the start of the following season - I suspect that this is the least complicated part of the build, and given the historical significance of the North Stand to Brighton fans (of which chairman Tony Bloom is most definitely one) the increase in capacity to be more or less equivalent to its predecessor at the Goldstone will most definitely be welcome.
