Stunning, but the top is still a bit puzzling to me. I see the angles of the "shards" terminating, yet also still see open beams and latticing in some places. Are these gaps going to be filled in with cladding or the like or will they be open to the elements?
I suppose if there is viewing platform at the top, it might be nice to have a bit of the open air experience, though the sheer angles at the top would make it interesting to implement. |

A few snaps of my own this evening. NB the BMU out and about near the top. First time I've seen one of these doing its thing.

Yes, but I think that I may not be able to afford one. I saw the TV programme on the Shard and it eluded to penhouses being available for corporate buyers and also complete floors and the estimated price was £millions. I was thinking about a more humble, mid floor 2 bed apartment!

What a nice good-looking tower. And the cladding is classy. Too boring to see the blue and silver mirror towers everywhere.

What can I say... elegant and futuristic.
Congratulations London!

In contrast to yesterday evening's glorious sunshine, it's rather damp and misty this morning. The top of The Shard was fading in and out of view when I went through.
