Banuthev, we had an information from Air arabia contact that they had applied for traffic rights. I am still not satisfied with the last RTI reply because the guy who gave us information on this is a big head in Air arabia, Sharjah. Hence, we have filed 2 more RTIs (framed about 20 questions totally using an advocate and RTI geek to get a very clear picture on what is going around) on IXM. If we get some good outcome viz concrete data using that, let our guys post it here.

Congrats and hope to see atleast 150k in intl + 600K in local totalling 750k in FY 2012-13. AAI people are improving ( I am talking about publishing the traffic news so fast. )

Spicejet celebrating 7 years of flying on 23rd May and they have offers to book tickets on 23rd May. Hope they will announce the new routes on 23rd. Lets wait 5 more days to see any good news for madurai from Spicejet..

In My Opinion, an airline won't generally announce routes on their anniversary because they will wish to make every fan in India happy. So, announcement of IXM-CMB for instance may not give much happiness to a person in Surat/Chandigarh, etc. So, they will announce some promotional offers/discounts, etc. Let us keep hopes low.

What I said is they may announce all the new routes . Like they got approval for 6 new international routes , and some new domestic routes.

Spicejet new flight to Chennai and Delhi

Spicejet is adding third frequency to Chennai and second one to Delhi effective 1st June'12 and seems would be operated for 4 days a week. Good thing is it is a boeing flight not Q400.

MAA Departure - 13.30
IXM Departure - 15.00
DEL Departure - 10.05

Even June second week it is showing 5 weekly. But from from June end it is consistently showing like 5 weekly.

Vow. Excellent news on another IXM-DEL flight. This is coming from nowhere, much to the pleasant surprise of everyone.

SG is clearly planning to take advantage of KF slipping out of IXM-MAA sector, and Jet reducing the day time capacity in the IXM-MAA sector.

I remember some rumors about SG cancelling the IXM-DEL connectivity almost an year back. Not only we retained it, but we are getting another connection. This is really good.

I hope SG flies IXM-BOM non-stop using Q400, besides IXM-BLR and IXM-TIR (with the dharshan package) soon.

Also, one other thing is also cleared. We don't need to worry about the summer schedule, winter schedule etc., When the airlines want it, and when they get it approved, we can see new sectors even if it is not published in the summer/winter schedules.

Delhi is without a doubt came from nowhere. Infact we requested everything in FB except Delhi. As simple as that.

Also it has something to do with SG's load factor in all the flights in April and May. I personally believe May month will be the highest IXM ever recorded in terms of number of passengers handled.

Icing on the cake would be IXM-CMB flight.

Capacity addition is going to increase the cap for Pax movements from/to IXM. IXM shall give still more better stats in the AAI performance charts which may turn some more eyeballs toward us and pull in more connections.

Hoping for Morning HYD/BLR and TIR using Q400(s) and much needed CMB! Fingers crossed.
