Yes, much more modern. But the view is better in Berlin because the stands are steeper. And not many can say their stadium was built for Hitler.

Newer? yes. More modern? Yes. I am very plesantly surpriced with this stadium, blue tracks kan make any stadium look a billion times better. But in terms of epic cinematicness and symmetry, there is and probably never will be a more elegant and breathtaking stadium than Berlin

true. they're both amazing stadiums but berlin still maintains that nazi era history that cannot be ignored. i shouldn't have asked such a stupid question anyways... lets just celebrate both

so what? you cant judge the design or the existence of a structure based on what era and by who it was built

many of moscows metro stations were built during the communist era, you cant deny their beauty though!

well you just basically reiterated my point? berlin might not be as state of the art as kyiv but its beauty is in the fact that it is a modernized relic.

Really beautiful stadium, which is surely great for athletics and concerts, BUT is it any good for football? With the running tracks, isn't the spectators getting too far from the action?

I think this is the important point. The Kiev Stadium is incredibly beautiful, but the rake of the seating in the lower tier appears very shallow and combined with the extra distance an athletics track puts between the spectators and the pitch I feel the viewing experience will be reduced. This is a significant negative point for me.

I'm not sure about how much more modern it is. When the Olympiastadion was renovated they didn't just add a couple of new seats after all.

They also put much more emphasis on architectural details. It's just so much more than a stadium. Still, I prefer Kiev's roof.
