They didn't work for me, nor do CoreRising's. For me, it's a google chrome thing.

Nice photos though- cheers!

Some photos from this morning. The estate is almost history.

This really is an impressive development. Sets a benchmark for other regeneration projects, methinks.

Great selection of pics SE9. This is setting a good blueprint for how regeneration of 60's estates should be done.

Why isn't this type of project being done more often, there are toooo many run down scummy areas like what this place was like that need destroying and re-developing, there is one god awful one that I can think of that is on the left as you come into London Waterloo from the south. Anyone know what that estate is called?

Thanks guys!

SkyScraperRaper I believe the estate you're referring to is the Doddington Estate (Doddington & Rollo) in SW11; about a dozen slab blocks lined-up:

Thanks for the pictures SE9! The completed phases look very pleasing indeed, and I can't wait to see further phases completed!

If I said this looks quite Dutch or German, would anyone else know what I meant?

Good quality and yes, definitely a model for other regeneration projects in this country.

What I was thinking too.

Sorry if this has already been asked - where have the former Ferrier residents been rehoused? And are any of them likely to come back to Kidbrooke Village?

Families from the Ferrier live in those three storey terraced houses. I know several that have moved straight in. They were given first option on whether to take those houses.

would you live there?

Would you see yourself in the regenerated Kidbrooke Village? What would be the pros and cons of living there?

Ferrier Estate = Clapped out unionized Britain

Kidbrooke Village = M&S economy of finance.

I actually started renting a 2 bed flat in one of the C shaped blocks overlooking the park (you know, the ones that seem to be least popular on this thread!) a couple of weeks ago so I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has.

I believe so, but I also believe that it's communal. That one dish probably provides satellite television for the whole row.
