Lotsa lotsa greenssss at Desa ParkCity and Bandar Menjalara, Kepong District, Kuala Lumpur West. 5 years ago the homes here were so cheap, but today the prices have surged to beyond our means.

There are literally thousands of Kuala Lumpur sprawling suburbans. This one is near my home and 1 Utama, the world 4th largest shopping mall.

Taman Tun Dr. Ismail or simply known as TTDI borders KL's western suburbs and Petaling Jaya City that falls under Selangor state.


Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is a well planned township first built in 1974 to house government staffs and civil servants.




The township is as lively as winning numerous awards including the FIABCI Award of Distinction for the world's best residential property in 1994.

Between 1982 and 2006, VADS Tower was formerly the IBM Malaysia complex...




Commercial area. The hill behind it is a metropolitan park called Taman Rimba Kiara and then to the north is Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.




The building in far centre is a National School and Kiara Park condovillas.




Apartments known as Villa Flora, TTDI.





An ordinary Malaysian home, not just in KL but nationwide, has at least 2 cars now.




Some homes here are like resorts, resorts in Bali or Phuket? (I think this is a Malay home)




The nearest Subway outlet to home. It also has a KFC drive-thru.




Going to the shops, pharmacy to post office to kopitiams for local fare.




Night place to chill out. But lately it has become boring.






As a matured township, green lungs/parks are essential to livelihood. One of my favorite is Taman Lembah Kiara TTDI.

c'mon, in the Skyline threads there are easily more than 50 pics per page.

My latest post and the last post was more than 18 days difference. And most of my pics are less than 1024x768 thus smaller size. The only thing here is no one is posting except me.

Across Malaysia, you will see the same type of mass housing rows after rows in the form of terrace townships as population density is low and as what @ Skyprince said - car dependent.
