@ Melawati Hill

The Gombak Forest Reserve and Klang Gates Dam are beside the Melawati Hill. The peak offers spectacular view of the dam.

I'd love to see Woodland, Yishun, Sembawang and some outskirts in Singapore. Anyone?

An ordinary Sunday morning, without Lady Gaga

This is a new area called Bangsar South. Wow I think I feel like owning an apartment here.

There are literally thousands of Kuala Lumpur sprawling suburbans. This one is near my home and 1 Utama, the world 4th largest shopping mall.

Taman Tun Dr. Ismail or simply known as TTDI borders KL's western suburbs and Petaling Jaya City that falls under Selangor state.

Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is a well planned township first built in 1974 to house government staffs and civil servants.

The township is as lively as winning numerous awards including the FIABCI Award of Distinction for the world's best residential property in 1994.

The view towards greeneries.

A typical Malaysian suburbia aerial view.

The office towers in the centre is Damansara Uptown commercial area - my former workplace.

The valley...

Between 1982 and 2006, VADS Tower was formerly the IBM Malaysia complex...

Commercial area. The hill behind it is a metropolitan park called Taman Rimba Kiara and then to the north is Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

The building in far centre is a National School and Kiara Park condovillas.

Apartments known as Villa Flora, TTDI.

An ordinary Malaysian home, not just in KL but nationwide, has at least 2 cars now.

Some homes here are like resorts, resorts in Bali or Phuket? (I think this is a Malay home)

The nearest Subway outlet to home. It also has a KFC drive-thru.

Going to the shops, pharmacy to post office to kopitiams for local fare.

Night place to chill out. But lately it has become boring.

As a matured township, green lungs/parks are essential to livelihood. One of my favorite is Taman Lembah Kiara TTDI.

I believe you are not allowed to post more than 20 pictures per page (per user) here in the Asian thread. It will be considered as SPAM.
looking at this page.. you have at least posted more than 50 already?????

double check with the MODs.

c'mon, in the Skyline threads there are easily more than 50 pics per page.

My latest post and the last post was more than 18 days difference. And most of my pics are less than 1024x768 thus smaller size. The only thing here is no one is posting except me.

Across Malaysia, you will see the same type of mass housing rows after rows in the form of terrace townships as population density is low and as what @ Skyprince said - car dependent.

Car-Dependent Suburban Neighborhoods Nationwide:

This is part of Bukit Jelutong in Shah Alam City, part of Greater Kuala Lumpur, within Selangor State

Rarely seen urban clusters of Greater KL (latest 2012)

Featuring new clusters of skyscrapers outside Kuala Lumpur CBD. Some pictures of Greater Kuala Lumpur Part 6 of 8 (extended).

Petaling Jaya City of approximately 100km2 is one of the most well planned satellite city of Kuala Lumpur. It is divided into zones like the following:

Source:
>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._city_sections
>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petaling_Jaya

Petaling Jaya is home to the largest no. of foreign global multinationals today. From the early days of British American Tobacco complex to Western Digital factories, visitors to Petaling Jaya will now notice new office blocks that housed global companies such as 3M, IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Bayer, Siemens, KPMG, Deloitte, Nestle, Procter-Gamble, Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, etc.

Various Parts of Petaling Jaya and Kelana Jaya (Residential clusters)

Federal Highway, Universiti Malaya and part of Petaling Jaya
